Braxted Park - Wedding Photography

Sacha & Lauren got married on one of the hottest days of the year at Braxted Park.  A magnificent country estate and one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Essex.
This was a super relaxed wedding , which was exactly how they wanted their to be and everything just seem to flow.

Taking them off for some photos after dinner, we stumbled across the most perfect pocket of golden light, just as the sun was about to set.  These photos were a bit of a gift and have become some of my favourite images of last year.

Sacha & Lauren are a lovely couple and I really enjoyed watching them soak up their day amongst their family and friends.

Thanks so much for having me there to capture it all.

Where did you meet?
We met in the o2 car park! My friend was dating one of Lauren’s friends and asked if I could pick them up and drop them home after their night out. I’ll never forget Lauren lobbing her high heels over the fence into the car park before scaling the fence! Funny thing is that we went to the same school but never knew each other as our school was huge and she was in the year below me. We then dated through sixth form at the same school.

The proposal?
Christmas day 2017. Lauren is a fan of the Harry Potter films, so I popped the engagement ring in a clever Golden Snitch ring box found on Etsy.

Why did you chose your venue?
Lauren found the venue on boxing day online, and we loved the pictures. We also liked the look of a couple of other venues but this one was at the top of the list for us. After visiting another venue first, when we visited Braxted Park our minds were made up instantly. The prospect of getting married in a beautiful walled garden – if the weather permitted – was something we couldn’t resist. Luckily the weather was incredible on the big day!

Did you have a particular style or theme?
Navy blue and blush pink. Also, we had been together for 10 years at the time of the wedding so we named the tables after every year we had been together. Luckily the number of guests we had allowed us to do this.

What was your first dance track?
Sam Smith – Latch (acoustic) blended into Luther Vandross – Never Too Much

Most memorable highlight?
Standing with each other at the front, about to be married, turning around and seeing all our family and friends smiling and with a few happy tears on a number of faces!

How would you sum up your day?
Incredible. We couldn’t have wished for a better day. A fantastic venue, surrounded by amazing people in the brilliant sunshine. We were truly blessed to have such an amazing day.

Do you have any planning tips/advise for other couples?
Book your suppliers ASAP! Once you have the venue sorted, don’t put off getting your suppliers sorted.
It can be quite stressful, so it’s better to get all this out of the way as soon as you can, as lots of other little bits and bobs pop up nearer the big day that you might have forgot about!
