DIY Kent Farm Wedding
Dani & Leveson
Danielle & Leveson had the most amazing wedding.
It really was the best of both worlds, with an intimate wedding ceremony in their local village church, where Leveson was christened. Followed by an epic DIY family farm reception.
It’s not very often you have full use of a private wheat field, which we used for some beautiful photos in the evening.
I also loved the creativity used to decorate and put together this amazing day. So many hand made item from bunting to carved wooden table names. Not to mention a marquee in the tractor shed. Genius!
Why did you chose your venue/s
We chose Acrise Church to get married in as we have both always wanted to get married in a church and Lev was christened there.
We chose to have our reception at the family farm as we wanted something relaxed.
What was your wedding theme/style & why?
Rustic, natural, shades of pinks. It reflected our style .
Did you make anything for the wedding?
Table plan, post box, centre pieces all from different woods, confetti holder out of pallets, dried our own confetti, all of the guests signs around the farm, ‘giant’ tree thrown, sweet station,
Did any family or friends make anything or did you borrow anything?
Lev’s Family made ivy hearts and an ivy garland, hand sewn bunting, sheaths of wheat to decorate the marquee. Dani also borrowed her bracelet from her mum.
What were your most memorable highlights?
Getting ready with bridesmaids, walking down the aisle, after wedding having 10 mins on our own to chat/ catch up, during dinner people going round talking to everyone.
We especially liked the church service which was very personal .
Did you have any entertainment?
We had a live band – Hard to Handle.
What was your first dance and why?
Nathan Sykes – Over and over again. We chose it because it has lovely words.
How would you sum up your day?
It was a brilliant day but went so quickly. I loved all of it!
