Ferry House Inn Wedding
Kayleigh & Luke
I absolutely loved Kayleigh & Lukes wedding photographed back in March, such an easy going couple with great family & friends.
So many great touches had been planned throughout the day & I particularly loved the fireworks and sparklers that set the evening party off with a bang!
This is their day in their own words 🙂
1/. Who were your main suppliers?
Venue- Ferry House Inn, Isle of Sheppey
Photographer- Emma Migden Photography
Photo booth- Cheesebox Photo Booths
Videographer- KFT Videography
Make Up- Rachel Monk
Hair- Samantha Jones
Cake- Rebakers (for the naked cake)
2/. Why did you chose your venue/s
It was the first and only venue we saw! We fell in love with it as soon as we saw it as it had the rustic feel we were after and we knew we wanted a barn so we booked it straight away!
3/ What was your wedding theme/style & why?
Rustic theme with lots of hessian and wood which we paired with duck egg blue. We had picked the venue partly to go with our rustic theme, and we knew we wanted a laid back, relaxed feel to the wedding and the rustic theme went with this.
4/. Did you make anything for the wedding?
Yes, we made lots of things! Luke made our step ladder and I made everything for our centre pieces, our flowers and our decorations.
4a/. Did any family or friends make anything or did you borrow anything?
Yes, my mum made our fruit cake and the silver stand it was on was my great-grandparents from their wedding. My friend Sophie lent us her candy cart as well.
5/. What were your most memorable highlights?
The readings in our ceremony, we had a reading from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and a Bob Marley reading and the fireworks in the evening
6/. What was the best part of your day?
After the ceremony was finished and we were officially married!
7/ Did you have any entertainment?Yes, we had a photo booth, candy cart and fireworks and sparklers in the evening.
8/. What was your first dance and why?
Purple Rain, but it was a cover by London Grammar. London Grammar are our favourite band so we knew it would be something by them, and they did a cover of Purple Rain for Radio 1 Live Lounge which we adored so we went with that.
9/ How would you sum up your day?
Relaxed and fun, just as we hoped it would be. For us it was truly the best day ever!
