Marleybrook House Wedding – Fran & Alex

Marleybrook House Wedding – Fran & Alex

Everything about Francesca & Alex’s wedding was gorgeous!  I loved Fran’s vintage lace dress and the colours she had picked for her bridesmaid dresses.
The wedding was a perfect combination of  traditional, with the church ceremony and vintage with the retro fun fair at Marleybrook House.

This was such an emotional day, overflowing with emotion.   Especially clear to see as Fran walked down the aisle and when  Alex was unable to hold back the tears.  One of my favourite photos!

A highlight for me was having the speeches outside and breaking from tradition with no formal sit down meal.  This meant that guests could enjoy being outside in the sunshine and were well looked after with the most amazing BBQ.

Here a few words from Fran & Alex about their day…

We picked our venue because it was so unique and different, and we was looking for somewhere that showed the sort of people that we are, and marleybrook house was perfect, we fell in love as soon as we drove up the drive way. And the reason we picked to get married in st thomas church was because that is where I ( Fran) was christened and did my first hold communion, it’s also linked to the primary school and secondary school I went to along with most of my family, so there was no question that this was where I wanted to marry my best friend!
Our wedding theme and style was vintage and retro! But also classic…Just because that’s what we love and who we are.   I borrowed my mother in laws diamond earrings to wear.
The best part of the day for us was turning up to Marley brook house and seeing all our friends and family enjoying the fair ground and food! We also had so much fun dancing and singing along to our first dance along with our reggae band!
we had a reggae music and a vintage fun fair as our entertainment  & our first dance song was rusted roots- send me on my way.
We picked this because it’s reminds us of the film Matilda which we both love, and have watched together many times!
We also did not want a slow song because it doesn’t represent the sort of people we are and we felt like this song did!
