Welcome to the beautiful wedding of Abby & Jake who got married on a lovely sunny day in September.  Such a lovely couple with equally amazing family and friends too.

Here’s what Abby & Jake had to say about their fabulous day.

Where did you meet?
Met at School 

The proposal?
Jake took me to London for the day – he’d been away in Canada with work for three months. We went and ate in the Shard and then he surprised me with a private pod in the London eye and proposed at the top! 

Why did you chose your venue?
I had done all the research into all the venues and gave a top three for us to visit. The first one we went to was the open day the Cooling and just fell in love with the atmosphere, the beautiful barn and the picturesque setting. As we left Jake said ‘I want to marry you there’ and thats what the sealed the deal!

Did you have a particular style or theme?
Non-rustic – my sister had a wedding three years previous and we are very similar and I wanted a wedding that was completely different to hers. Also most couples that we knew getting married around that time were using this term so we wanted to be different. We chose ‘simple and elegant’!

What was your first dance track?
Almost Lose it – Trey Songz

Most memorable highlight?
When the song that we had picked for such a long time starting playing as our wedding intro and we saw each other for the first time when I was at the top of the stairs with my dad and Jake at the end of the isle!

Did you make anything or borrow anything?
We make our guest book, a memory mirror, our seating plan keys, wedding sign (which now hangs on our wall!

How would you sum up your day?
Perfect, everything we had hoped for an more!

Do you have any planning tips/advise for other couples?
Although your desperate to complete all the little details right at the beginning as your bursting with excitement give your self some time to make sure its exactly what you want and it can change over time.

Be prepared to compromise on small details, relax as there are things that you cannot change that happen on the day. Make small sections of time for each other throughout the day. And enjoy every single thing!!
